FAQ's

Everything you need to know about our online laser cutting and CNC folding services

What file formats can I upload for laser cutting?

Cut Fast Send accepts DXF and STEP files for uploading designs. These file formats allow our system to accurately read your CAD geometry and prepare it for precision CNC laser cutting and manufacturing. DXF files are commonly used for flat laser cut parts, while STEP files are ideal for designs that include folded components or more complex geometry.

What materials can be laser cut?

We offer precision laser cutting across a range of metals including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. These materials are commonly used in automotive parts, fabrication, engineering components, brackets, panels and custom product designs.

How accurate is CNC laser cutting?

CNC laser cutting is extremely precise and can typically achieve tolerances within ±0.1mm depending on the material and thickness. This level of accuracy makes it ideal for engineering components, brackets, panels and precision fabricated parts.

What thickness of metal can be laser cut?

The maximum thickness depends on the material being used. Generally laser cutting can handle a range of sheet metal thicknesses suitable for custom brackets, panels, mounting plates and structural components.
